Education News Parents Can Use

Education News Parents Can Use focuses on schools, learning and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. On the third Tuesday of each month during the school year, Education News airs live via satellite, offering parents and anyone else with an interest in education vital information about getting involved in children's learning.

Parents (and teachers) can view information on how to view this by visiting the U.S. Department of Education Ed TV.

CTA Conferences

There are several good conferences that offered to all VEA members throughout the year. These are at no cost to you and that includes hotel costs! Following are a list of conferences that are offered for this school year. If you are interested in attending a conference, be sure to contact your VEA Representative. Don't know who that is? Please contact your Elementary, Middle School or High School Director. (Contact information can be found by clicking here!)

• Region I Conference (Burlingame): October 14 through 16.
• Good Teaching Conference (Burlingame): January 20 through 22.
• Urban Issues Conference (San Jose): February 24 through 26.
• Equity and Human Rights Conference: March 3 through 5.
