Dear editor,

I would like to challenge Dr. Damelio and other community members who feel the every other day cleaning is working to visit our schools and look into classrooms on a random basis on just about any day. I doubt they could walk away and say it was working well.

I'd like to know how frequently Dr. Damelio picks up cleaning materials to freshen up his office. This is a regular practice of many teachers that can't stand to wait for the next cleaning period.

Ask the students if they perceive their schools as clean, in or out of the classrooms. I doubt Dr. Damelio would accept the cleaning standards seen in many classrooms for his own office. Considering the amount of traffic his office sees maybe it should be cleaned about 4 times a year, this should free up a custodial district employee to help with the sub
shortage.
