February 2-4, 2018, San Jose

The CTA Good Teaching Conferences continue to support excellent teaching and learning practices for classroom teachers via peer-to-peer instruction. Offering a variety of diverse workshops focused on curriculum content areas for K-12 teachers, the conferences provide opportunities for professional development and offer time to network and share ideas with colleagues and experts in the field of education. Registration begins on Friday at 4:00pm with a dinner buffet reception at 6:30pm followed by entertainment. Workshops begin Saturday morning. Sunday morning workshops are followed by a brunch and closing general session. The conference concludes at 12:00pm.

If you are interested in attending this conference, please submit a Conference Request form. Forms can be found at the VEA website, myvea4you. Conference Request forms must be received by Friday, January 5, 2018.

It is VEA’s policy to give priority to those who have not previously attended a CTA conference. Any remaining spaces will be allotted using a lottery system.

After completion of the conference, you will need to share what you learned at a Rep Council meeting. If selected to attend the conference, VEA will pre-pay the conference registration fee. You will be responsible for making your own hotel reservations.  After submitting your receipts and completing the above, VEA will reimburse you for ½ of the cost of the hotel room. You will also receive a stipend for meals that are not included in the conference.
