Show your support to fellow teaching colleagues across the state and in our District who are facing the very real possibility of receiving RIF notices. The deadline for districts to give notice to teachers that they may be laid off is on Friday, March 13th. What can you do? Just a few months ago, the District received new office furniture at the tune of almost $20,000. Then, two weeks ago while your Bargaining Team was hard at work bargaining with the District, they were quite shocked to see that the interior walls of the District Office was being painted a lovely shade of green. It seems that the District has plenty of green for their needs, but no green for our pockets!
When was the last time your school site received a nice new coat of paint and not just one to cover up the spots here and there. Those don’t count! Send us your pictures to post on this blog. We bet that your school sites don’t look as spiffy as the District Office!
