Christal, you did a nice job on this video. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Also thank you to everyone who was at the school board meeting.
It was a great showing, and a lot of people did a lot of work to make it happen. Lisa Trace, Chris Coulter, Janny latno, Marcia from Glen Cove, Anita from Bethel, Julie Grand from Cooper, Becky from CTA and guidence from Janice Sullivan made it happen. If you see them make sure to thank them for their time and effort.
Now is the time for teachers to contact the school board members and to put pressure on them to do the right things. Start with drastic cuts at the district office. I propose they let all of the district office administrators go, and advertise those posititions at $25,000 less than they are paid now. Of course I would also do away totally with some of those positions.
Try to imagine what the teachers of California could do for our students and the profession if we had a state-wide teachers’ union. As long as we are divided city by city, district by district, we will always be conquered.
Everyone encourage your staffs to visit VEA.org blog and view the video. More importantly ask, encourage, bribe but get somebody to come with you to the waterfront this Pink Friday 13 March. This is a good opportunity to get some public awareness.
Great video! Special thanks to the Action Team, the bargaining team, our VEA officers, everyone who spoke on our behalf at the board meeting, and Ron for his very clever pink slip speech/action!
Thank you for the wonderful video. I’m forwarding it on to others. Also, thanks for the links to the TV news videos. Now, we really need to get parents involved.

Great Video!
We need to STAND UNITED!!!!
This District needs to cut Administrative costs by eliminating unnecessary positions and put the money back into the classrooms where it belongs.
TEACHERS UNITE!!!!!!!
