At the bargaining table on Wednesday, one of the suggestions from the District was to take away teacher discretion when it came to prep time. The Bargaining team recognizes the importance of prep time to teachers, so of course, taking how teachers use their prep time was not agreeable to us.
It was a long day of bargaining, but we managed to keep the District at the table for most of the day.

Using the drop down menu, readers can see how salaries have either increased or decreased when adjusted for inflation. Vallejo saw a decrease of 8.1% when adjusted for inflation. Teachers in Vallejo are at the bottom for salary increasing over time. We also rank as fifth in all school districts across the state with the fastest shrinking teacher salaries.
